Its an Important notice for users of Windows XP with Service Pack 2, To ensure that you will receive all important security updates for Windows you need to upgrade to Windows XP with Service Pack 3 (SP3) or later versions such as Windows 7.
The release of Windows XP SP3 triggered the expiration for Windows XP SP3 that is 24 months following the release of SP3, according to the lifecycle policy. So it is advised to upgrade to SP3 that includes all previously released updates for Windows XP.
Service Pack 3 is free and easy to upgrade your existing Windows XP. To do so, you can either download the cumulative update package or via Windows Update (If you are updating just one computer).
