Microsoft has introduced an updated version of Windows NT Backup Restore Utility for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2.

Removable Storage Manager (MSM) is no longer part of Windows Client or Server operating systems. If you are using Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 and want to restore a backup from a tape device, the utility helps you to restore backups that are made on Windows XP and on Windows Server 2003 to computers that are running Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2.
