Today, Microsoft is delivering security updates, these updates includes a patch, for Internet Explorer is the most urgent.
Microsoft is urging its customers to pay attention to this month’s security updates. These updates affect Windows 2000, Windows XP (x86 and x64), Windows Server 2003 (x86 and x64), Windows Vista (x86 and x64), and Windows Server 2008 (x86 and x64) & Office System as well.
Microsoft is emphasizing on IE Update, that fixes some major vulnerability. A statement from the Microsoft Security Response Center reads "Please apply the Internet Explorer update right away as it poses the most risk of all the bulletins due to severity and exploitability."
So it is recommended to install these updates, to keep your system safe. If Windows Update is not listing update for Internet Explorer. Try it, it may help you.
- Run Registry Editor and go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main
- Look for DWORD value called NoUpdateCheck and set it 0
- Now re-check for updates.
Updates will be available on December 10 at 11:00 AM PST.
