Recently launched Nokia Lumia smartphones in India are due on shelves mid-December. While prices of devices will be announced later then, but for now the global suggested pricing figures are rough benchmarks – $580 for the Lumia 800 and $380 for the Lumia 710.

During the launch event, D Shivakumar, Managing Director, Nokia India, said that the Nokia Lumia family is the first true Windows Phone 7 devices. He explained about the strength apart from reliable Nokia hardware and Microsoft brand-new Windows OS for smartphones.

Superior Imaging and optics

Nokia Maps & Drive which delivers a full-fledged personal navigation device (PND) with free, turn by turn navigation voice guided navigation in 50 languages including Hindi and dedicated in-car-user-interface. Maps for 100 countries and 750 cities in India are available on Windows Phone Marketplace, free to download on Nokia Lumia devices only.
