Today Windows Team blog announced, Windows XP Mode has RTM’d. Windows XP Mode aka XPM is intended for releases with Windows 7 and download will be available on October 22 with GA of Windows 7 and OEMs will be able to offer Windows XP Mode on their PCs based on their manufacturing schedules.
Windows XP Mode beta was introduced, when Windows 7 RC made available for public. After few months, Microsoft released RC of Windows XP Mode, which was much stable than earlier beta. It requires hardware assisted virtualization and supports Windows 7 host operating systems only.
